Parker's Pumpkin Patch

Although the weather didn't seem to want to cooperate, we made some accommodations and had an amazing time at The Parker Family Pumpkin Patch.  After a short slideshow about friends and foes of pumpkins, we acted out a short skit centered on the different growing stages of a pumpkin, ate some pumpkin centered food, and were able to take home a pumpkin!

We are flowers on the pumpkin vines with leaves (umbrellas) providing us with shade

Here comes the honey bee to pollinate us!

We are very small green pumpkins waiting for the sun and rain to help us grow!

We are getting bigger...

Here we are!!!! Mrs. Lasher and Miss Livingston's classes

Ask your student about some the foods they tried today at the pumpkin patch.  Hint: Pureed pumpkin, Pumpkin Applesauce, Baked Pumpkin Seeds, Pumpkin Dip, and Spiced Pumpkin Cookies...
