Do Spiders Make Good Pets?

We have been focusing on the Common Core State Standards and further developing our Habits of Mind in kindergarten.  One of the many things we have done with Halloween in mind, was to determine whether or not spiders make good pets.  Once we made our decisions, we were asked to justify our thinking, as to why we did or did not think they made a good pet.  Some of the targeted CCSSs were, CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.C.6 and CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.B.5:)
