Circles and Squares Race to Twenty

This week, we learned a new math game, called "Circles and Squares Race to Twenty." Some of the math standards addressed with this game include:

• Counting forward from a given number, rather than starting at 1
• Reading numbers from 0 to 20
• Comparing the number of objects in a group
• Decomposing numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way

We practiced playing this game as a whole class and then played in pairs. Please enjoy the video of two students explaining and modeling how to play the game!
